“What More Can You Do?”, Reflections From the Launch of the Soipan Tuya Foundation
“…because everyone in this room has a story. And when you think about that story, and when you listen to that story, you’ve got to ask yourself: what more can you do?” — Paul Russo, CEO, KCB Group
When those words were spoken, something subtle happened, not silence, not shock, but a quiet moment of reflection. You could almost feel people turning inward for a second. Because it’s true: every story carries a weight. And when you really listen, when you allow yourself to understand someone’s journey, you can’t help but ask what responsibility that places on you.
Do you carry the story with you?
Do you act on it?
Or do you let it pass?
That simple question, What more can you do?, became the thread that connected everyone present at the launch of the Soipan Tuya Foundation. The room was filled with a diverse group of people: government officials, corporate leaders, development partners, community champions, and individuals who simply believe in a better, fairer future. Different backgrounds, different missions, but all drawn together by the same belief that stories are powerful, and that listening is the beginning of change.
A Launch Built on Understanding
The launch was not designed as a showcase; it was intended as a reflection. A reminder that behind every initiative, behind every program, there is a person whose life could shift because someone cared enough to listen.
It’s easy to talk about impact.
It’s harder to sit with someone’s story and let it move you.
Yet that is exactly what this moment symbolised.

The Strategic Plan: A Promise to Use What We Hear
When the Strategic Plan 2025–2030 was unveiled, it reflected more than organisational direction. It signalled a renewed commitment to the three pillars that shape the Foundation’s work: education, economic empowerment, and environmental protection. Each pillar carries a story: of children and young adults seeking opportunities to grow, of youth and women striving to build dignified livelihoods, and of communities working to protect the environments they depend on. The plan we presented is not theoretical; it is grounded in the real experiences shared with us over time. It is a roadmap shaped by the voices of the people who live these realities every day, and a promise that what we hear will continue to guide what we do.
Because listening means nothing if it doesn’t lead to action.
And That’s What We Want You to Know
If you weren’t in the room, here is the essence:
The launch reminded us that stories carry power, partnership gives them strength, and responsibility turns them into impact.
And as you read this, perhaps you feel that same nudge the room felt, that small voice asking:
What more can you do?
